Enter Plento. An innovative startup that will transform the snack market by using novel and unconventional ingredients to bring together nutrition, indulgence and sustainability.

Based in South East Asia (Thailand and Singapore), Plento has been founded by food experts who have previously created and brought to market insect-
based packaged products. With Plento, they decided to combine plant based protein with insect protein (Plant+Ento) to get the best of both worlds.

Thanks to the support from a leading startup accelerator, Brinc, our ideas were incubated in Hong Kong with top mentors and access to labs. Product development got the support of the Singaporean government and took place in the advanced FIRC laboratories. FIRC is the centre of food innovation in Singapore, with holistic technical solutions in food product development including formulation & process development, shelf life test, sensory evaluation and pilot production.

Our Story

Founded in 2019,  Plento is on a mission to change the way we look at snacks by combining plant based protein and insect protein (Plant+Ento).

We use simple ingredients that are easy to recognize, understand and pronounce. Ingredients that are also friends of the environment, because they have a much smaller carbon footprint. 

Based in Singapore, we have access to a range of sustainable, healthy and cost-friendly ingredients that allows us to offer you the best of plant and insect protein combined.

We envision a future where the food you want to eat is always healthy, nutritious and tasty. We promise not to waste your time with uneccessary content or marketing. Just the facts and great snacks!

Plento key ingredients are cricket flour, pea protein, cashew nut, corn flour and flax seeds. Lots of protein, very little carbs and sugar free!

Protein in Plento snack are 9 grams per serving. On top of that, our snack is rich in minerals (iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium). Insect protein is well known to be a high quality one, with all the amino acids needed by the human body.
